Yes 5G Introduces Supplementary Lines With 20GB Data For RM20 Per Month

Yes 5G FT5G Plan

Yes 5G seems to have introduced a new supplementary line offering for both Infinite and Infinite Plus users. As reported by SoyaCincau, the telco blasted its new promo through marketing emails to its customers, but it hasn’t been added or advertised anywhere on its website other than a campaign FAQ page.

Dubbed “Infinite Special”, the new offering gives Infinite users the option to add up to five extra lines under a principal line. The plan costs only RM20 per month for each line and it provides 20GB of 5G and 4G data with no speed cap.

It also has a hotspot quota of up to 20GB per month, but that allocation is shared amongst all the extra line users. Additionally, the extra lines get unlimited calls as well as unlimited Yes-to-Yes SMS messages. According to the FAQ, subscribers of any Infinite or Infinite Plus plans are eligible for Infinite Special, along with Yes Wireless Fibre customers.

Interestingly, Infinite Special extra lines were part of a recent Raya promo for its Wireless Fibre service, with the exact same price and perks. It’s unclear if this is a limited time offer or a permanent one as the neither the FAQ nor the email states a promo validity period.

If 20GB of data doesn’t work for your dependants, you also have the option of getting a higher-tier extra line. All the other Infinite extra lines provide the same unlimited data with no Fair Use Policy (FUP) as the principal line, but the hotspot quota will depend on which tier you subscribe to — the Infinite Basic supplementary line costs RM48 per month.

In related news, Yes permanently upgraded the data quota of Infinite plans earlier this year, adding an extra 10GB to each tier. Additionally, the carrier also launched a new low-cost postpaid plan called Power 35, which offers 100GB of data with uncapped speed at RM35 per month.
