Foreign Ministry: Malaysians In Russia Should Contact Embassy In Moscow

The financial situation is getting pretty difficult for anyone in Russia following financial services suspending services in the country. This is affecting not only the country’s citizens, but also everyone else that happen to be in the country. For Malaysians who are there, if the financial situation is affecting you, then you should contact the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ministry put out a statement on Twitter to that effect, highlighting specifically that Malaysian students facing issues due to the disruption of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to contact the Malaysian Embassy. There’s also an email address and four phone numbers to work with, which are kbm.moscow@yandex.ru and +79067461333, +79651222746, +79035666101 and +79035048666.

In it, the ministry also advises all Malaysians in Russia who have not registered with the embassy to do so as soon as possible. The ministry also notes that there are currently 861 Malaysians in the Russian Federation, of which 784 are students.

On a related note, the Foreign Ministry is also asking Malaysians who are still in Ukraine and require consular assistance to contact the Malaysian Embassy in Warsaw, Poland.
