Four-vehicle pile-up causes gridlock on Penang Bridge

GEORGE TOWN: A crash involving multiple cars along the island bound side of the Penang Bridge is stalling traffic on Wednesday (March 2).

The incident, believed to have occurred earlier in the morning, had blocked two of the three lanes on the island bound side along KM4.

The outermost lane is currently the only available lane.

The vehicles involved in the accident had not been moved as of 11.30am.

Based on footage recorded by a passer-by, the incident is believed to have involved four vehicles.

Motorists heading to the island are advised of slow moving traffic and possible debris from the vehicles involved.
