Yoodo Now Offers Validity Periods Up To 180 Days With Discounts
Yoodo is known for its customisable plans and now the MVMO has added another option for users to choose from, the validity period of their plan. Up until now, the brand’s plans were only valid for 30 days, but the new addition lets users extend the validity up to 180 days.
The company is offering three-month and nine-month validity periods, with bigger discounts the more you pay in advance. Those who choose 90 days will get a 5% discount while customers who get the maxed-out 180-day period will receive a whopping 10% discount on their purchase.
However, the validity customisation is only offered when you subscribe to a high-data plan that costs a minimum of RM30 per month, so those customising a plan will need to adjust it to meet that threshold. With the discounts, a RM30 plan will amount to a total of RM85.50 for three months of validity and RM162 for six months of validity.
The option is not available for those who wish to purchase an unlimited data plan. Furthermore, 90- and 180-day validity plans will not renew automatically. Users can choose to manually schedule a renewal within the last 30 days but if they don’t, it will automatically revert back to the default 30-day period during the next billing cycle if auto-renewal has been turned on.
In related news, Yoodo recently also made their 5G trial pass available for iPhone. Just like with the validity customisation, the free 5G pass is only offered for high-speed data plans and it even requires users to get 10GB of data or more to be eligible.
The Celcom-owned MVNO has not revealed how long will 5G remain free on its platform. CelcomDigi recently announced that those on lower-tier plans will have to pay extra to use the faster network starting in July, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Yoodo eventually offers it as a paid add-on when the trial ends.
