ALOR GAJAH: Melaka Pakatan Harapan is open to candidates from outside the state contesting on its ticket in the state’s six parliamentary seats in the 15th General Election (GE15).
Melaka Pakatan chairman Adly Zahari, said this was on condition that the “parachute” candidates are able to provide the best service to the people.
“This (coalition) is national… no lines or state borders prevent us from serving the people. So, we are looking for candidates who are able to provide service to the community,” he told reporters after a programme here on Wednesday (Oct 26).
The Taman Sungai Petai Permai Melaka election machinery was also launched by Pakatan chairman and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
On Pakatan’s candidates in Melaka, Adly said it would be announced after Amanah finalises its list by Oct 30.
He said the candidates would include old and new faces. – Bernama
