Covid-19: KL cops issue compound notices to 94 for SOP violations at nightclub

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 94 patrons of an entertainment outlet here were issued with RM1,000 compound notices each for violating the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) during a raid on Monday (April 25).

Kuala Lumpur Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department head Senior Asst Comm Datuk Azman Ayob said a RM1,000 compound notice was also issued to the owner of the premises.

“Compound notices were issued for violations of the SOP.

“A total of RM95,000 worth of compound notices were issued during the operation,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (April 26).

Such operations will be conducted in the future to reduce the rate of Covid-19 infections, he said.

“We should all play our part in reducing the number of infections.

“We urge the public to adhere to the SOP,” he said.
