Cops confirm video showing car driven on motorcycle lane is from two years ago

PETALING JAYA: The video of a car being driven along a motorcycle lane on the Federal Highway is an old one, confirms police.

In a statement on Monday (March 7), Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said that the video was from 2020.

“The police were notified of the video that showed a Volvo XC90 on the Federal Highway motorcycle lane, near the Mentari Court apartment here. Checks showed that the video was from June 24, 2020 and a report was lodged then,” he said.

He urged all to not spread any misinformation that could lead to public unrest.
