Johor civil servants to get minimum of RM1,000 in Raya aid, says state secretary

JOHOR BARU: All civil servants in Johor will receive a special payment of half a month’s salary or a minimum of RM1,000 in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

State secretary Datuk Azmi Rohani (pic) said they will receive the special financial aid starting from April 28.

He also noted that the decision was made during the state executive council meeting on Wednesday (April 6).

“The state government has agreed to give the special payment to all Johor civil servants.

“This includes those under the Contract of Service scheme, daily part-time officers and those employed under the Short Term Employment Program (MySTEP),” he said in a statement here Sunday (April 10).

He added that the special payment will involve an allocation worth RM18.81mil and would benefit some 13,400 civil servants in Johor.

“The payment aims to reduce the burden of civil servants in Johor in conjunction with Hari Raya,” he said.
