GE15: Perak top cop urges personnel to be on best behaviour at all times

IPOH: The police will act in a professional manner at all times to prevent untoward incidents, including during the 15th General Election (GE15), says Perak police chief Datuk Comm Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri.

He said with nearly everyone having a smartphone these days, videos and photographs can be taken and used in an improper context to make allegations against the police.

“All policemen are to be professional, prudent and act according to the law at all times.

“Do not act according to emotion, or else even silat, kung fu or muay thai will come out,” he said here on Monday (Oct 31).

“This is to prevent any misunderstandings or allegations.

“We will also take videos of our policemen when they are on duty, to ensure that matters are handled smoothly and appropriately,” he told reporters after a riot control exercise by the Ipoh police Light Strike Force near Stadium Indera Mulia here.
