Fatal liver events occurred in 0.6% of patients. Median time to first onset of AST or ALT elevation was 15 days (range: 3 days to 20.8 months).Increased AST or ALT each led to dose interruption in 7% of patients and dose reduction in 5% and 9% of patients, respectively. Permanent discontinuation was caused by increased AST, ALT, or bilirubin each in 0.3% and by hepatotoxicity in 0.6% of patients.Concurrent elevations in AST or ALT ≥3 times the ULN and total bilirubin ≥2 times the ULN, with normal alkaline phosphatase, occurred in 0.6% of patients.Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)/Pneumonitis: Severe, life-threatening, or fatal ILD or pneumonitis can occur. ILD/pneumonitis occurred in 2.3% of patients, including 1.1% Grade 3/4. One fatal ILD case occurred at the 400 mg daily dose. Median time to first onset of ILD/pneumonitis was 3.8 months (range: 12 days to 11.8 months).ILD/pneumonitis led to dose interruption in 1.1% of patients, dose reduction in 0.6% of patients, and permanent discontinuation in 0.6% of patients.QTc Interval Prolongation: QTc interval prolongation can occur, which can increase the risk for ventricular tachyarrhythmias (e.g., torsades de pointes) or sudden death. IBTROZI prolongs the QTc interval in a concentration-dependent manner. In patients who received IBTROZI and underwent at least one post baseline ECG, QTcF increase of >60 msec compared to baseline and QTcF >500 msec occurred in 13% and 2.6% of patients, respectively. 3.4% of patients experienced Grade ≥3. Median time from first dose of IBTROZI to onset of ECG QT prolongation was 22 days (range: 1 day to 38.7 months). Dose interruption and dose reduction each occurred in 2.8% of patients.Significant QTc interval prolongation may occur when IBTROZI is taken with food, strong and moderate CYP3A inhibitors, and/or drugs with a known potential to prolong QTc. Administer IBTROZI on an empty stomach. Avoid concomitant use with strong and moderate CYP3A inhibitors and/or drugs with a known potential to prolong QTc.Hyperuricemia: Hyperuricemia can occur and was reported in 14% of patients, with 16% of these requiring urate-lowering medication without pre-existing gout or hyperuricemia. 0.3% of patients experienced Grade ≥3. Median time to first onset was 2.1 months (range: 7 days to 35.8 months). Dose interruption occurred in 0.3% of patients.Myalgia with Creatine Phosphokinase (CPK) Elevation: Myalgia with or without CPK elevation can occur. Myalgia occurred in 10% of patients. Median time to first onset was 11 days (range: 2 days to 10 months).Concurrent myalgia with increased CPK within a 7-day time period occurred in 0.9% of patients. Dose interruption occurred in 0.3% of patients with myalgia and concurrent CPK elevation.Skeletal Fractures: IBTROZI can increase the risk of fractures. ROS1 inhibitors as a class have been associated with skeletal fractures. 3.4% of patients experienced fractures, including 1.4% Grade 3. Some fractures occurred in the setting of a fall or other predisposing factors. Median time to first onset of fracture was 10.7 months (range: 26 days to 29.1 months). Dose interruption occurred in 0.3% of patients.Embryo-Fetal Toxicity: Based on literature, animal studies, and its mechanism of action, IBTROZI can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman.ADVERSE REACTIONSAmong patients who received IBTROZI, the most frequently reported adverse reactions (≥20%) were diarrhea (64%), nausea (47%), vomiting (43%), dizziness (22%), rash (22%), constipation (21%), and fatigue (20%). The most frequently reported Grade 3/4 laboratory abnormalities (≥5%) were increased ALT (13%), increased AST (10%), decreased neutrophils (5%), and increased creatine phosphokinase (5%). DRUG INTERACTIONSStrong and Moderate CYP3A Inhibitors/CYP3A Inducers and Drugs that Prolong the QTc Interval: Avoid concomitant useGastric Acid Reducing Agents: Avoid concomitant use with PPIs and H2 receptor antagonists. If an acid-reducing agent cannot be avoided, administer locally acting antacids at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking IBTROZI.OTHER CONSIDERATIONSPregnancy: Please see important information in Warnings and Precautions under EmbryoFetal Toxicity. Lactation: Advise women not to breastfeed during treatment and for 3 weeks after the last dose.Effect on Fertility: Based on findings in animals, IBTROZI may impair fertility in males and females. The effects on animal fertility were reversible.Pediatric Use: The safety and effectiveness of IBTROZI in pediatric patients has not been established.Photosensitivity: IBTROZI can cause photosensitivity. Advise patients to minimize sun exposure and to use sun protection, including broad-spectrum sunscreen, during treatment and for at least 5 days after discontinuation. Please see accompanying full U.S. Prescribing Information.Forward-Looking Statements of Nuvation Bio Inc.Certain statements included in this press release that are not historical facts are forward-looking statements for purposes of the safe harbor provisions under the United States Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. A "Piano Black" finish makes the radiator grille look sleek, sharp, and closer to the ground, while the wheels are done in "Matte Bronze".The brake calipers and interior stitching sport Morizo's signature "Yellow".Another exclusive feature is the suede-surfaced steering wheel, which has been given a slightly smaller-than-normal outer diameter and modified paddle shifters and steering-wheel-mounted switches for improved operability in motorsports. The switches, in particular, are laid out independently, based on lessons learned through the use of similar switches in the GR Yaris Rally2 rally car.The interior displays an exclusive serial-number plate with a "MORIZO RR" logo.Toyota Motor Corporation works to develop and manufacture innovative, safe and high-quality products and services that create happiness by providing mobility for all. TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Reverting to “GAZOO Racing” to Pass on and Evolve the Making of Ever-better Cars and the Fostering of Talent

TOKYO, Jan 7, 2026 - (JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) today announced that, to return to its founding principles, it is reverting to the name "GAZOO Racing" to strengthen its motorsports-bred making of ever-better cars and the fostering of talent.TOYOTA GAZOO Racing is reverting its name to "GAZOO Racing".The role of GAZOO Racing will be to strengthen the motorsports-bred making of ever-better cars and the fostering of talent.GAZOO Racing will compete in top-category motorsports, such as the WRC, as well as in customer motorsports using production vehicles. The journey of GAZOO RacingA challenge born of humiliationTOYOTA GAZOO Racing has promoted the making of ever-better cars and the fostering of talent by taking on the challenge of competing in various motorsports categories both in Japan and abroad.GAZOO Racing traces its origins back to 2007, when Akio Toyoda (then executive vice president) competed in the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race alongside driving mentor and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Master Driver Hiromu Naruse and several other colleagues. At the time, because competing in the race was not recognized by TMC as an official company activity, the team was not permitted to use "TOYOTA" in its name, and thus entered under the name "Team GAZOO". Furthermore, as Toyoda's intention to drive in the race was unable to gain much understanding, his only choice was to compete under the driver name "Morizo". Although the team managed to finish the race, the achievement immediately came with a sense of humiliation. That was because, while many other, mainly European, competitors were putting under-development cars through their paces in the race, Toyota did not have such a car, let alone any sports cars in its sales lineup, and was on the verge of losing its ability to pass on its car-making skills and expertise. When overtaken on the track by other manufacturers' development vehicles, Toyoda felt as if he could hear rivals say: "No way that you guys at Toyota could build a car like this!", igniting a sense of humiliation that he still vividly recalls to this day.The Shikinen Sengu of car-making sustained by convictionSports car development demands an approach to manufacturing that not only improves a car's characteristics and fundamental performance by also strives to make a car failure-proof even in harsh environments. All such efforts also contribute to the development of mass-production cars. At the same time, the front lines of motorsports provide numerous opportunities to hone car-making skills and foster talent. At Ise Shrine in Japan's Mie Prefecture, traditions and skills are passed down through a ritual known as "Shikinen Sengu", which entails all of the shrine's structures being rebuilt every 20 years. Similarly, sports car manufacturing has traditions and skills that cannot be passed down once they are lost. Armed with a sense of crisis that TMC would become a company incapable of building sports cars, Toyoda initiated the development of the Lexus LFA, choosing the Nürburgring course as the car's main development site.Launched in 2010, the LFA was TMC's first authentic sports car developed in-house in approximately 20 years. It was the result of a project that faced enormous difficulties, including a lack of wholehearted support within the company for car-making that was deemed by some to be unprofitable, as evidenced by the fact that development was permitted to proceed under the condition that only 500 units would be sold.Just before the LFA's release, the unthinkable happened: Naruse passed away in an accident near the Nürburgring. The calamity occurred not long after LFA development had concluded and Naruse, as master driver, had given his approval by saying, "Let's go with this." For Toyoda, suddenly being without his driving mentor and TMC's master driver came with an immense sense of loss. However, Toyoda, remaining steadfast in his conviction that cars and talent are honed on the front lines of motorsports, continued to pursue sports car development. Then came the revival of the 86 in 2012 and the GR Supra in 2019. However, the development of these models relied on Subaru and BMW, respectively, meaning that TMC was not able to achieve the complete in-house creation of a sports car.The launch of TOYOTA GAZOO RacingIn April 2015, TMC decided to consolidate its in-house motorsports activities, including those under the banners of "TOYOTA Racing", "LEXUS Racing", and "GAZOO Racing", under the unified "GAZOO" name, upon which it adopted the logo "TOYOTA GAZOO Racing". It was a development that marked the moment when activities that could not use "TOYOTA" back in 2007 could finally bear the company's name. However, even though those activities had officially come under the umbrella of a large corporation, the original sense of humiliation that had driven Toyoda and Naruse began to fade. The never-ending pursuit of making ever-better carsToyoda, then as president, decided that TMC would return to the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) to further evolve its activities to make ever-better cars. Returning to the WRC, in which competing vehicles are based on production vehicles, marked a major turning point in TMC's motorsports activities.Until then, TMC had developed its motorsports vehicles based on already completed production vehicles. However, after returning to the WRC, it began a new approach to car-making that reversed the conventional order by first creating a car capable of winning in the WRC and then turning that car into a production vehicle. This led to the launch in 2020 of the GR Yaris, a Toyota in-house-developed sports car, under the philosophy of making ever-better motorsports-bred cars. The GR Yaris, which was unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January of that year and recorded its maiden victory in a Super Taikyu Series 24-hour race that September, began to be seen in action in motorsports events around the around, eventually leading to the development and launch of the GR Corolla. It was exactly this achievement that revived TMC's in-house production of sports cars capable of winning in motorsports. In 2025, Toyota returned to the Nürburgring 24 Hours race for the first time in six years, fielding a GR Yaris. While behind the wheel, Toyoda, who is TMC's current master driver, says that he conversed with Naruse. Only TMC's two master drivers know what they talked about. For Toyoda, the next challenge was to conduct a true Shikinen Sengu in the form of TMC creating the ultimate in sports cars. As such, the GR GT, GR GT3, and LFA Concept premiered in 2025.TGR's journey of the motorsports-bred making of ever-better cars and the fostering of talent is without end. It will soon be 20 years since Team GAZOO came to be in 2007."No way that you guys at Toyota could build a car like this!" The humiliation felt by Hiromu Naruse and Akio Toyoda was the starting point of it all.TGR would like to extend its sincere gratitude to everyone in the world of motorsports, its partners, and its fans for their unwavering commitment.Together with all stakeholders, TGR - under the name "GAZOO Racing" - intends to continue making ever-better motorsports-bred cars and fostering the talents of drivers, engineers, and mechanics.TGR looks forward to everyone's continued support.TOYOTA RACINGMotorsports activities specializing in powertrains and technologyFurthermore, TMC's research and development center in Cologne, Germany (TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe), under the new name "TOYOTA RACING", is to specialize in motorsports activities through its advanced development technologies, promoting long-term technological development in engine development and other areas. The technologies that it develops are to continue to be introduced in various motorsports scenarios, including the world's top on-track races as well as rallies, in the pursuit of further improvement.TGRRTGRR (TOYOTA GAZOO ROOKIE Racing) is to continue its current activities. As an entity that bears in its name the "T" of TOYOTA Racing and the "G" of GAZOO Racing, it intends to serve as a bridge between the two, honing in motorsports as a racing team the products and technologies each develops, while also functioning as a practical training ground (dojo) that fosters talent.Logo transition is planned for completion in stages by January 2027.Toyota Motor Corporation works to develop and manufacture innovative, safe and high-quality products and services that create happiness by providing mobility for all. HMAX Use Cases and DeploymentsThe expansion of HMAX across multiple domains is already delivering tangible results.HMAX MobilityCurrently deployed on 2,000+ trains, HMAX was first introduced by Hitachi Rail in 2024 as a comprehensive digital asset management solution seamlessly integrating a vast array of live data from the train, signaling and surrounding rail infrastructure into a single platform.*2HMAX leverages advanced AI and analytics using NVIDIA Metropolis Blueprint for video search and summarization (VSS) with Cosmos Reason vision language model to generate predictive insights and decision-support recommendations, such as identifying emerging asset degradation patterns, forecasting optimal maintenance windows, and highlighting opportunities to improve resource planning. These insights support operators and maintenance teams in making informed, timely decisions, which are then implemented through existing operational processes. The platform also leverages the upcoming NVIDIA IGX Thor industrial-grade edge computing to process vast volumes of data at the edge in real time, with only relevant information sent back to the operational control centers. AI and machine learning extracts knowledge from the data and applies it to achieve operational and service enhancements including energy consumption reduction and an on-condition/predictive maintenance process. The adoption of HMAX has delivered measurable value, including up to 15% reduction in maintenance costs and 15% lower energy consumption.HMAX Energy HMAX Energy combines advanced digital capabilities with extensive domain knowledge, service excellence and installed base intelligence to ensure reliable, efficient energy infrastructure. The collective use of automated inspection, real-time monitoring, predictive analytics and virtual support maximizes uptime and availability, optimizes operations, and extends asset lifetime. HMAX Energy is built on strong reference cases: When providing digitally-enabled services for the Italian renewable energy operator ERG, Hitachi Energy has helped reduce on-site inspection time by 35% and minimized unexpected downtime. For Baltic Cable AB, the transmission operator between Germany and Sweden, the introduction of a digital twin for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems has cut incident response time by 90%, contributing to improved operational efficiency and stable performance.HMAX IndustryHMAX for Buildings enhances building operation, maintenance, and energy efficiency while also improving the wellbeing of residents, office workers, and visitors with NVIDIA Metropolis VSS Blueprint. Since 2025, Hitachi has provided digital services—including access control and HVAC management—as a service, supporting building safety, security, and comfort. These outcomes generate optimal building environments while sustainably improving a building’s value.*3Under HMAX for Factories, Hitachi and Daikin Industries, Ltd. began trial operations in April 2025 to implement an AI agent that supports equipment failure diagnostics in factories.*4 This AI agent is confirmed to identify causes and countermeasures within 10 seconds with over 90% accuracy. Starting December, Hitachi and Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation also began joint verification of troubleshooting assistance using the same AI agent. Furthermore, in December, Hitachi also launched AI agent services for industrial equipment operations and maintenance in a conversational format that streamlines production sites with instant, precise information tailored to equipment status.*5Hitachi also provides comprehensive solutions across the entire value chain for battery and biopharmaceutical industries. *2 Hitachi Rail Unveils the ‘HMAX’. Biologics License Application for Subcutaneous Formulation of “LEQEMBI(R)” (lecanemab) for the Treatment of Early Alzheimer’s Disease Accepted in China

TOKYO and CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jan 6, 2026 - (JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - Eisai Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, CEO: Haruo Naito, “Eisai”) and Biogen Inc. (Nasdaq: BIIB, Corporate headquarters: Cambridge, Massachusetts, CEO: Christopher A. Viehbacher, “Biogen”) announced today that the Biologics License Application (BLA) for the subcutaneous formulation (subcutaneous autoinjector: SC-AI) of “LEQEMBI®” (generic name: lecanemab), an anti-amyloid beta (Aβ) protofibril antibody, has been accepted by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in China. If approved, the SC-AI of 500 mg (two 250 mg injections) could be used to administer a once-weekly dose at home from the initiation of treatment, as an alternative to the current IV administration every two weeks in a hospital setting. The potential approval of SC-AI would expand the option for patients and care partners to receive LEQEMBI treatment at home. The injection time for each autoinjector (250mg injection) is approximately 15 seconds. The SC formulation also has the potential to reduce healthcare resources associated with IV dosing, such as preparation for infusion and nurse monitoring, while streamlining the overall AD treatment care pathway.Eisai estimates that there were 17 million patients with MCI or mild dementia due to AD in China in 2024, which is expected to increase with the aging of the population.Eisai serves as the lead of LEQEMBI development and regulatory submissions globally with Eisai and Biogen co-commercializing and co-promoting the product and Eisai having final decision-making authority. Eisai will distribute the product in China and will conduct information provision activities through specialized Medical Representatives.*Protofibrils are believed to contribute to the brain injury that occurs with AD and are considered to be the most toxic form of Aβ, having a primary role in the cognitive decline associated with this progressive, debilitating condition.(1) Protofibrils cause injury to neurons in the brain, which in turn, can negatively impact cognitive function via multiple mechanisms, not only increasing the development of insoluble Aβ plaques but also increasing direct damage to brain cell membranes and the connections that transmit signals between nerve cells or nerve cells and other cells. It is believed the reduction of protofibrils may prevent the progression of AD by reducing damage to neurons in the brain and cognitive dysfunction.(2) MEDIA CONTACTSEisai Co., Ltd.Public Relations DepartmentTEL: +81 (0)3-3817-5120Eisai Europe, Ltd.EMEA Communications Department+44 (0) 797 487 9419Emea-comms@eisai.netEisai Inc. It is a humanized immunoglobulin gamma (IgG1) monoclonal antibody directed against aggregated soluble (protofibril) and insoluble forms of amyloid-beta (Aβ). Lecanemab has been approved in 52 countries and is under regulatory review in 8 countries. Following the initial phase with treatment every two weeks for 18 months, intravenous (IV) maintenance dosing with treatment every four weeks was approved in the U.S., China, the UK, and others, and applications have been filed in 4 countries and regions. The U.S. FDA approved Eisai’s Biologics License Application (BLA) for subcutaneous maintenance dosing with LEQEMBI IQLIK in August 2025. A rolling Supplemental Biologics License Application (sBLA) for initiation treatment was initiated under Fast Track status in September 2025, and completed in November 2025. In November 2025, an application for a subcutaneous injectable formulation in Japan was submitted. In December 2025, Lecanemab has been included in the “Commercial Insurance Innovative Drug List”, recently introduced by the National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA) of China.Since July 2020 the Phase 3 clinical study (AHEAD 3-45) for individuals with preclinical AD, meaning they are clinically normal and have intermediate or elevated levels of amyloid in their brains, is ongoing. AHEAD 3-45 is conducted as a public-private partnership between the Alzheimer's Clinical Trial Consortium that provides the infrastructure for academic clinical trials in AD and related dementias in the U.S, funded by the National Institute on Aging, part of the National Institutes of Health, Eisai and Biogen. Since January 2022, the Tau NexGen clinical study for Dominantly Inherited AD (DIAD), that is conducted by Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer Network Trials Unit (DIAN-TU), led by Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, is ongoing and includes lecanemab as the backbone anti-amyloid therapy.About the Collaboration between Eisai and Biogen for ADEisai and Biogen have been collaborating on the joint development and commercialization of AD treatments since 2014. Eisai serves as the lead of lecanemab development and regulatory submissions globally with both companies co-commercializing and co-promoting the product and Eisai having final decision-making authority.About the Collaboration between Eisai and BioArctic for ADSince 2005, Eisai and BioArctic have had a long-term collaboration regarding the development and commercialization of AD treatments. Eisai obtained the global rights to study, develop, manufacture and market lecanemab for the treatment of AD pursuant to an agreement with BioArctic in December 2007. Honda Newly Launches “Discover Honda” Content Curation Media Platform JCN Newswire

Honda Newly Launches “Discover Honda” Content Curation Media Platform

- Media platform serves as a “marketplace” where people can encounter the many facets of Honda, including the thoughts of development engineers, technologies, designs and corporate activities -TOKYO, Dec 26, 2025 - (JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today launched a content curation media platform, Discover Honda, on its corporate information website(1). Discover Honda is a media platform that holistically curates and clearly communicates a wide range of Honda initiatives, including Honda products, technologies, designs, and the thoughts of Honda associates who create them, as well as various corporate activities including the environment, safety and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.Image of Discover Honda siteDiscover Honda URL:https://global.honda/jp/discover/ (Japanese) https://global.honda/en/discover/ (English)Key features of Discover HondaDiscover Honda is a newly created media platform that curates (gathers) and posts articles from multiple Honda owned media(2) platforms that currently exist within the Honda corporate information website. This will enable users to access articles that were previously scattered across various owned media in one place and in a timely manner. In addition, Discover Honda will share feature articles which will compile multiple articles related to certain selected themes. For example, by selecting a single product as a theme, the feature article will enable readers to explore a series of articles written about the product from different aspects, such as technologies, designs and the thoughts of Honda associates who were involved in the development of the product. Feature articles on Discover Honda are designed to enable the readers to gain a deeper and more multifaceted understanding of the particular themes. At its launch, Discover Honda is featuring two special articles: one on the all-new Prelude, which went on sale in Japan in September of this year, and the other on electric motorcycles. New feature articles are scheduled to be added on monthly basis.Concept of Discover HondaThe concept behind Discover Honda is creating a “marché” (marketplace) for Honda content. Just like marché or farmers' market brings together a wide variety of desirable items ranging from fresh foods to home goods and handmade items, Discover Honda was created with an image of a place where users can encounter articles on diverse themes and perspectives related to Honda. In addition to its motorcycle, automobile, power products and aviation businesses, Honda is engaging in a wide range of initiatives as a comprehensive mobility company, including the development of cutting-edge space and robotics technologies, environment and safety initiatives, taking on challenges in motorsports, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. By featuring articles that introduce such a wide range of activities, Discover Honda will strive to become a media platform where users can discover a variety of attractive facets of Honda — just like people finding a variety of attractive items at a marketplace. This new content curation media platform was named “Discover Honda” based on the desire of Honda for more people to visit this media site, explore the diverse activities Honda is involved in, and discover new facets of Honda. With participation of designers from the Honda Design team, the Discover Honda site was designed with a main color of orange that evokes a vibrant image, freshness, and positive energy of the marketplace. The Discover Honda logo features multiple cubes within the initial letter D, representing diverse themes users can encounter through this platform, and one of the cubes incorporates the Honda Red. Why Honda created Discover HondaSince 2020, as a part of its corporate information website, Honda has been operating “Honda Stories,” as one of the owned media platforms that communicates the current initiatives and future vision of Honda. It introduces Honda initiatives from the past, present and future, including the underlying thoughts and passions of each initiative, through interviews with Honda associates, executives and other stakeholders. In addition to Honda Stories, Honda has been communicating a wide range of information through multiple owned media platforms:“Honda Technology” introduces Honda technologies with more technical insights.“Honda Design” introduces initiatives related to design works“Motorsports” and “HRC” introduce various Honda initiatives in motorsports“Honda Sports Challenge” introduces various Honda corporate sports activities. The use of multiple owned media platforms has enabled Honda to present a single theme from multiple perspectives. However, having multiple owned media platforms created a challenge, making it difficult for users to find related articles on the same theme all at once. To address this challenge, Honda launched Discover Honda, a new content curation media platform that enables users to find related articles from multiple Honda owned media while leveraging the unique expertise of each medium.Initially, Discover Honda will primarily curate content from Honda Stories, Honda Technology, Honda Design, Motorsports, HRC, and Honda Sports Challenge. Moving forward, Honda is planning to expand the range of owned media included in the curation.(1) Honda corporate information website URL: https://global.honda/jp/ (Japanese), https://global.honda/en/(English)(2) Media produced and operated by Honda Copyright 2025 JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com. Mazda Selected for A List in CDP Water Security for the First Time

HIROSHIMA, Japan, Dec 26, 2025 - (JCN Newswire via SeaPRwire.com) - Mazda Motor Corporation (Mazda) has been selected for the first time as an "A List" company in the "Water Security" category by CDP, an international non-profit organization in the environmental field. This recognition reflects the strong evaluation of Mazda Group’s initiatives and disclosures related to water security.CDP is an independent non-profit organization which operates a global environmental disclosure system. Numerous companies, financial institutions, and municipalities utilize CDP's system to manage their environmental impact. For the 2025 assessment, over 24,800 companies worldwide responded to CDP's disclosure requests, prompted by over 640 financial institutions representing more than $127 trillion in assets. In automobile manufacturing, water is indispensable for applications such as cooling (e.g., cooling furnaces in casting processes), dilution (e.g., diluting concentrated cutting fluids or cleaning solutions in machining processes), and washing (e.g., cleaning vehicle bodies in painting processes). Therefore, water security initiatives are necessary to address future risks such as water scarcity and rising water prices.Mazda has pursued the following principles: "Fully utilize water without any waste as a valuable resource that is a natural blessing" and "Circulate water as a valuable resource that is a natural blessing by treating used water so that it is the same quality as before it was used and returning it to nature." The Company aims to achieve water resource regeneration and circulation initiatives at its domestic model plant* by 2030 and across its global production processes by 2050.To achieve these goals, Mazda has set a target to reduce the total volume of water intake across the entire group in Japan by 38% in fiscal year 2030, compared to fiscal year 2013, and has been steadfastly taking actions aimed at reducing annual water intake by 2%, through expanding the use of rainwater and recycled water. As a result, a 37% reduction was achieved in fiscal year 2024 compared to fiscal year 2013. These efforts, among others, are believed to have contributed to the A List rating this time.Mazda will continue striving to conserve water resources, a natural blessing, and contribute to protecting the global environment and building a prosperous society while seeking harmony with nature.Water Resource Conservation Initiatives: www.mazda.com/en/sustainability/environment/resource-circulation/#head07Signing/Participation in the Initiative and External Recognition: www.mazda.com/en/sustainability/initiatives-recognition/*The plant that implements new initiatives ahead of others.
